Delinte’s Most Effective Tire Features for Safe Rain and Snow Driving

CLIMAGRIP ™ Technology. CLIMAGRIP™ encompasses several high-tech features, including advanced engineering and computer optimization for improved tire durability and wear, and increased traction and performance in both hot temperatures, rain, and snowy weather. CLIMAGRIP™ features include the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating.
3-Peak Mountain Snowflake/Severe Snow Rating. The 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating (3PMSF or Severe Snow Rating) indicates that the tires have been tested for acceleration traction in packed mud and snow, and can maintain tread flexibility in winter temperatures and traction in wet and snowy conditions.
Mud+Snow Rating. The Mud+Snow Rating shows that a tire has a tread pattern with at least a 25% void-to-tread ratio, allowing it to clear mud and snow and providing good traction in moderate wet and snowy conditions.
QST Technology. Delinte’s proprietary Qirin Scale Technology suppresses the formation of water turbulence within tread grooves and quickly evacuates water from the tire, reducing the occurrence of hydroplaning and improving performance in rainy or wet conditions.

What is the Difference Between 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake, Mud+Snow, and CLIMAGRIP ™ ?

While the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating and Mud+Snow Ratings both show that tires have met certain standards for traction, the Mud+Snow Rating is based off of the geometry of the tire tread having enough groove space to effectively clear snow and mud from the tire, and 3PMSF involves actual objective testing of the tire’s traction performance in rain, mud and snow, and its rubber flexibility in low temperatures. On the other hand, CLIMAGRIP™ Technology encompasses multiple traction features built into a tire, and because of these features, tires with CLIMAGRIP™ qualify for the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating.

Centurion 365
